"Fingers" Plant Stand

I wanted to elevate my elegant black clay pot that holds a short fig plant.
My design was inspired by a hand cradling a cup from the bottom. The stand resembles fingers holding the pot. Lines of sharp, white-black contrast are created by the entire length of curved poplar pieces.
"Fingers" features 17 poplar pieces radially joined in a challenging, single glue-up using ratchet straps. The stand is waterproofed with polyurethane.
